According to the Detroit identical twins of Florence Ballard Michelle Ballard Chapman and Nicole Ballard Chapman says she’s a hoax!
But according to recent reports Variety Chenevert aka Nichole Rosalyn Elaine ( Rene) Ballard the original creator of the box office hit films Set It Off and Booty Call.
Did a DNA Ancestry Test with two of the popular companies 23andme.com and My Heritage.com and she definitely is a Ballard and match many relatives bloodline that she have known all her life and grew up with such as the Ballard’s, Chapman, Johnson’s, Wilson’s, Browns and even the Indian family bloodline from India which is her maternal grandmother side and the original name before she migrated to America from India The Patel’s. She also matched over 1,000 other relatives on both DNA Ancestry test.
The Patel last name is very popular in India and millions of people in Indy have that last name. Variety Chenevert aka Nichole Rosalyn Elaine (Rene) Ballard has connected and been in touch with matching DNA Ancestry relatives by, email and phone and some she met already in person who reside in California and Las Vegas, she said she has plans to travel and meet others in Louisiana.
The relatives she has met so far looks like both grandparents Jesse and Lurlee Ballard. Nichole Rosalyn Elaine (Rene) Ballard aka VARIETY Chenevert discovered she has 10 ethnicities! She was quite surprised and elated that she have such a diverse lineage. The DNA Ancestry Test Results made her even more proud of who she is.
It’s even a strong possibility that Empire Star Taraji Henson may be related according to similar results such as Taraji is also related to a Ballard and her grandfather Willie Ballard looks like Nichole Rosalyn Elaine ( Rene) Ballard aka VARIETY Chenevert grandfather Jesse Ballard. She said her and Taraji Henson also have an Inuit (Black Eskimo) and Cameroon ancestry but Variety Chenevert calls herself Copper Eskimo. Which means Variety Chenevert may even be related to Matthew Henson the Black Eskimo who made it to the North Pole.

She has reached out to Taraji Henson to compare DNA Ancestry lineage but at this time have not connected just yet. But look forward to hearing from her.
However, she did say when her mother Florence Ballard was alive she did hang around an aunt name Bernice and Taraji’s mother looks just like other women in the family such as Deborah Ann Steele and fame novelist Terry McMillan her cousins she grew up with in Detroit. Taraji’s mother name is Bernice Ballard.
